Rachel Wiskind is a first year Masters of Science in Social Work student at Columbia School of Social Work (CSSW). Rachel’s current field placement is at Community School 44, an elementary school in the Bronx, where her responsibilities include supporting students and families who live in temporary housing with counseling, behavioral supports, faculty training, and connection to resources. Before attending CSSW, Rachel worked as the Director of Youth Engagement at a large Reform synagogue where she ran an informal youth program for 300+ youth from kindergarten through 12th grade and their families. Rachel is from New York and earned her B.S. in Psychology at Tufts University in Medford, Massachusetts.
